Mullewa Polocrosse Action This Weekend
The annual Mullewa Polocrosse Tournament on August 23 and 24 promises to be an action packed weekend of the sport at its finest.
The state polocrosse contingent will converge in Mullewa, with an expected 20 teams to play across the grades.
CEO of the Shire of Mullewa Tom Hartman said he was particularly looking forward to the Sunday afternoon finals.
“The finals showcase the absolute quality of polocrosse in the region, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to watch if you haven’t seen the game before, as they are commentated to help outline the rules to spectators,” he said.
Full canteen and bar facilities will cater to hungry and thirsty onlookers, and entry to the grounds on Birdwood Street is free.
The weekend is also an opportune time to take in the Mullewa Wildflower Show at the Town Hall or enjoy a walk through the new Mullewa Everlasting Cultural Trails about town.
