Mullewa Welcomes New Community Project Officer
The Shire of Mullewa recently welcomed new Community Project Officer, Rachel McKenzie to its growing team.
The appointment is part of the Mullewa Action Plan, put in place to address some of the issues facing the Mullewa Community.
The plan has a number of initiatives that aim to deliver positive outcomes for social and emotional development in the community.
Ms McKenzie’s new role will involve conducting local community development projects, such as the upcoming Mullewa-Thicker than water.
Thicker than water will involve writing and photography workshops, and aims to assist local community members in strengthening the supportive foundations of the town and create a sense of comradeship.
The Shire has also taken on Susan Dickson as a Community Youth Development Officer, who will divide her time between Mullewa and the Shire of Morawa and focus on projects at the Youth Centre with the Youth Coordinating Network. |
