As a tourist or a resident, Mullewa’s everlasting culture is something to behold.
A vibrant administrative and service centre, Mullewa is located in Australia’s Coral Coast, just an hour’s drive from the coastal city of Geraldton and 464km north of Perth."

Nestled in the midst of wildflower country and steeped in history, the Shire of Mullewa is predominately based upon agriculture, with a mining and pastoral contribution. 
The strong bonds that exist within the Mullewa community make it a town of great pride, culture and history.
 
Population: Approximately 1,200 people, 60% of whom live in Mullewa


Location: 96km east of Geraldton and 464km north of Perth.


Economy: Predominantly agricultural, with half the shire's population employed in agricultural activities. An annual harvest of wheat, oats, barley, lupins, canola, chickpeas and faba beans yields in excess of 250,000 tonnes of grain. Employment is also found in community services, retail, public administration, transport, storage and communication.


The district: Closely adjacent to Mullewa are the townsites of Tenindewa, Pindar and Tardun. Other localities in the district include Devils Creek, Wongoondy, Ardingly, Mendel, Beatty, Sullivan, Indarra, Casuarinas, Kockatea and Wilroy.

Transport routes:

Mullewa is the northern terminus and originator of the Wildflower Way, a route that leads southward through Morawa and Dalwallinu, towards Perth.

Geraldton - Mount Magnet Road passes through Mullewa leading west to Geraldton and east to the mining and pastoral towns of Yalgoo, Mount Magnet, Cue and Meekatharra.

Carnarvon - Mullewa Road commences at Mullewa, travelling north through Murchison and Gascoyne Junction to Carnarvon.

Railway lines service Mullewa from Geraldton and Perth via Morawa for agricultural uses only.
